HLTAID009 - Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

Learn the skills to recognise and manage a person who is unconscious and not breathing. 

CPR (Cardiopulmanary Resuscitation) is able to sustain life until an ambulance arrives. Classes are fun and face-to-face with plenty of practical hands on learning. This course includes a short online pre-class component.

HLTAID012 - Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting (includes CPR)

Learn the skills to Provide an Emergency First Aid response to a child in need.

This unit applies to educators and support staff working within an education and care setting. This course includes a short online pre-class component.

HLTHPS006- Assist clients with medication

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to prepare for and provide medication assistance, and complete medication documentation. It also involves supporting a client to self-administer medication. This unit applies to community services and health workers with authority in their state or territory to assist with the administration of medication.

HLTHPS007 - Administer and monitor medications

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to administer medications to people and monitor them, as per the delegation from a relevant health professional, in accordance with legislation and the employing organisation’s medication and delegation policies and practice.

HLTWHS005 - Conduct manual tasks safely

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to recognise potentially hazardous manual tasks, and then to prepare for and complete those tasks in a safe manner. This unit applies to all workers involved in manual handling tasks.

SITXFSA005 - Use hygienic practices for food safety

This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to use personal hygiene practices to prevent contamination of food that might cause food-borne illnesses. It requires the ability to follow predetermined organisational procedures and to identify and control food hazards.

SITXFSA006 - Participate in safe food handling practices

This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to handle food safely during the storage, preparation, display, service and disposal of food. It requires the ability to follow predetermined procedures as outlined in a food safety program.

HLTHPS006- Assist clients with medication

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to prepare for and provide medication assistance and complete medication documentation.

CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support

This qualification reflects the role of individuals in the community, home or residential care setting who work under supervision and delegation as a part of a multi-disciplinary team, following an individualised plan to provide person-centred support to people who may require support due to ageing, disability or some other reason.

CHC43115 - Certificate IV in Disability

This qualification reflects the role of workers in a range of community settings and clients’ homes, who provide training and support in a manner that empowers people with disabilities to achieve greater levels of independence, self-reliance, community participation and wellbeing.

CHC43315- Certificate IV in Mental Health

This qualification reflects the role of workers who provide self-directed recovery oriented support for people affected by mental illness and psychiatric disability.

HLT43015- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance

This qualification reflects the role of workers who provide therapeutic and program related support to allied health professionals. Supervision may be direct.

CHC51015- Diploma of Counselling

This qualification reflects the role of counsellors, who work with clients on personal and psychological issues using established counselling modalities.

CHC40313 - Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention

This qualification reflects the role of those who work in youth and family intervention, including practice specialisations in residential and out of home care, family support and early intervention.

CHC43315- Certificate IV in Mental Health

This qualification reflects the role of workers who provide self-directed recovery oriented support for people affected by mental illness and psychiatric disability.

HLT43015- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance

This qualification reflects the role of workers who provide therapeutic and program related support to allied health professionals. Supervision may be direct.
